logo_homeThe Museum of Math is having its grand opening today!  It’s easy to find, it’s just a block from the Museum of Sex :-).

It’s a brand new, high tech collection of exhibits about the things we love about math.  It has bicycles with square wheels (which ride smoothly because the road is made of catenary curves):

this amazing paraboioid/calculator/sculpture/thing:

The “String Product,” an interactive calculator based on a paraboloid, fills the staircase at the new Museum of Mathematics in Manhattan. From the NY Times article on the MoMath.

And lots of other fascinating exhibits!  You can read about it here in the New York Times.

There should be an OU Math Club field trip to NYC!
