The 13th annual Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics is coming up on Jan. 28-30, 2011. This is a great opportunity to hang out with several hundred other women who think math is great! There are talks by other students, panel discussions about careers in math and about graduate school, discussions about everything from choosing a PhD advisor to balancing a career with family life. You will get the chance to meet lots of women with mathematical careers, and get lots of ideas about the various opportunities available to you while you are a student and after you graduate.
There will be a group from OU going to the conference. If you want to attend or have more questions, contact Keri Kornelson for information and instructions by October 20, 2011. The deadline to register is November 24, 2010, but the conference often reaches capacity earlier than that.
Hope to see you in next year’s photo!
