The good folks at OU’s Research Information Services passed along a paid internship opportunity for people in math and other fields.  It’s with the US Department of Commerce.

That might sound boring until you realize that they are the ones who who study the oceans and atmosphere (NOAA) and give out patents (The Patent and Trademark Office).  Heck, they even have a blog!

Synopsis

The Department of Commerce Internship for Postsecondary Students is an opportunity to participate in hands-on education and training related to the Department of Commerce. The applicable disciplines include: business; life, health, and medical sciences; communications and graphic design; computer science; life and physical sciences; business; mathematics; and engineering. The eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens only that are undergraduate and graduate students.
