The Mathematics Department at UT Arlington will run an NREUP program for underrepresented minorities. Some information about our program is available at the url:
Our NREUP program, which is funded by the Mathematical Association of America, will run from June 1st to July 31st with a possible intermission during June 15-30.
Participants will receive a $3,500 stipend, and on-campus housing will be provided if needed and some meal expenses will be covered. We do not have travel funds to
cover travel expenses.
The topic for this year is “Exact solutions to integrable nonlinear partial differential equations.”
Requirements: US citizenship or US permanent residency, minority status (Hispanic, African American, Native American), undergraduate status at least till December
2010, being a good student, background in calculus, some exposure to ordinary differential equations and linear algebra is desirable but not necessary.
