Zeta Functions Everywhere

This talk in the physics colloquium this week was recommended by Leah Trafford, a math/physics double major.  These talks are intended to be accessible to students:

“There is a speaker coming from Baylor to speak at the physics colloquium this Thursday (April 2, 4:00 pm).  The title of their talk is “Zeta Functions Everywhere”.  More information can be found at http://www.nhn.ou.edu/colloquium/.  There is a list of speakers on this page.  For the abstracts of that talk, click on the talk by Klaus Kirsten from Baylor.  I think that this might be a pretty good talk for people to get more interested in the physics applications of math.”
